Adstream launches Backhaul

Adstream has unveiled its new data transportation service Backhaul – allowing broadcasters to transfer TVC’s and promos between different networks easily.

The announcement:

adstream, the advertising distribution and workflow specialist, has launched adstream Backhaul, an innovative new service offering broadcasters a customisable tool to aid in transporting TV commercials and promos between various broadcasters and partners in their network.

This service is a first for adstream in Australia and offers a number of advantages, including:

– Easy renaming of files to suit site specifications

– Processing of missing lists

– An approval process that releases only what is needed when it is needed

– Operative across multiple offices and time zones

– Internal promos and TVCs can be stored in one location and accessed and repurposed on demand

LA-based E! Entertainment Television went live with this workflow and most of its functionalities early this month. Comcast International Media Group Executive Director, Traffic & Operations Stephen Hannant said: “We are very pleased with the ease and efficiency offered by adstream through this service. It has allowed seamless workflow between FOXTEL, MCN and our play-out in LA.”

adstream Managing Director Peter Miller said: “The TV landscape is changing and it’s important that we partner with broadcasters to allow them to streamline their processes and maximise turnaround from their advertising clients. This is the power of the Backhaul solution. Not only do our broadcasters now have easy access to TVC material and distribution but the ability to customise their processes using a secure, reliable and adaptable solution that ensures ads are delivered to the right specification, direct to the broadcasters.”

adstream is known for supplying workflow solutions to brands and agencies. With the launch of this new product, adstream can offer bespoke solutions to broadcasters on how material is delivered to them, how it integrates downstream of delivery and how it delivers better, faster results for their advertising customers.

adstream is planning a roadshow of this new service during October. Interested broadcasters should contact Emma Taylor (emmat@adstream.com.au)
