AFL launches new campaign ahead of final series
Ahead of the 2024 AFL final series commencing on September 5, a new campaign – titled 8 Stories. 1 Ending – has launched.
The campaign showcases the top eight teams as they prepare to battle it out for glory on September 28, highlighting the suspension and celebration that fans and players experience during a match.
AFL executive general manager customer and commercial Kylie Rogers said the new campaign would build excitement around the highly-anticipated finals series.
“After an incredible Toyota AFL Premiership home and away season, there is a lot of excitement around this year’s final series, which the eight stories, one ending campaign embodies,” she explained.
“The on-field and off-field stories are what makes our game so great, from players to the fans watching at home – the Finals create iconic moments and experiences shared by all.”
Developed with AFL Studios and directed by Brian Patto, the TVC and 2D campaign will go live across AFL channels, as well as TV, outdoor, print, digital, radio, and broadcast partners via national AFL media agency PHD.
The hero TV commercial features the popular track Roar by Katy Perry, who has been locked in as the Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment at the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final.
