AGT wins Wednesday night but The Block shines in all major demos

Wednesday’s episode of Australia’s Got Talent has seen a respectable pick up in ratings from its Tuesday night episode.

While Tuesday’s episode of Seven’s talent quest just managed to get over one million with 1.033m, placing tenth for the night, Wednesday’s episode won the night with 1.537m across the five city metro, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.

The overall win comes in spite of Nine’s The Block winning the night across all the major demographics of 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54. AGT was second in every demo.

Seven took the one, two, three positions for the evening in total people. Seven News followed AGT in second place and took 1.511m with Today Tonight took in third spot taking 1.346m.

Nine took the following three positions in total viewers. Nine News was in fourth place taking 1.329m. The Block took 1.218m and A Current Affair took 1.137m.

Bones rated with 1.056m, Home & Away took 1.049m and ABC News took 0.998m for positions seven, eight and nine while Seven’s AFL ANZAC Day Test put in a good showing considering it didn’t screen in either Sydney or Brisbane, with 0.925m in 10th place.

Ten’s top show, The Biggest Loser, placed 12th taking 0.835m. However the network’s top drama Offspring placed third and fourth across the 16-39 and 18-49 demos respectively.

SBS’s stop show, World’s Most Dangerous Roads took 0.37m in 28th position.
