AI agency Cuttable nabs Ogilvy’s head of strategy and planning
Melbourne-based AI advertising agency Cuttable has nabbed Paul Arena, former Ogilvy Australia head of strategy and planning, as its new head of strategy.
Arena joins the growing agency with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, including at TBWA and BWM Isobar, where he worked with leading clients such as Cadbury, AAMI, the Matildas, Toyota, Kmart, and ANZ.
In his new role, he will lead strategy to ensure Cuttable’s AI deliver sharper recommendations, more impactful creative, and a deeper level of strategic precision.
“Paul’s strategic brilliance is the cornerstone of great advertising, and now we’re bottling that expertise to supercharge our AI,” Jack White, co-CEO and co-founder of Cuttable, explained.
“By embedding his insights into the Cuttable platform, we’re not just replicating the thinking of a world-class strategist; we’re empowering every marketing team, big or small, to benefit from it..”
Arena said giving more brands access to the advantage advertising creative brings is a “pretty cool mission”.
“The ability to instantly generate advertising brings some game-changing benefits and interesting challenges,” he said.
“I can’t wait to explore both.”
In July last year, Cuttable secured $5.5 million in investment, led by Square Peg, one of Australia’s largest venture capital firms.
It also welcomed former Medibank marketer Sam Ayre as its new head of marketing, as Mumbrella revealed mid-last year.
“Having been a client of Cuttable at Medibank, I saw firsthand the incredible impact Cuttable’s unique offering can have on a marketing team,” Ayre said at the time.
