AiMCO announces first major group deal for members

The Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AiMCO) has unveiled its first-ever group offering for members – a new insurance and risk management agreement.

In partnership with Australian insurance provider Maple, AiMCO members will be given access to discounted general insurance and risk protection services, including professional indemnity, public and product liability, cyber risk protection, directors and management liability, and corporate travel insurance.

Members can also tap into Maple’s consulting services across insurance and risk management, and can reduce their insurance costs with the boutique firm’s tailored advice and insurable risk reports.

The customised reports are designed to make businesses aware of their risks, and the solutions available to help them avoid unwanted loss.

Patrick Whitnall, managing director at AiMCO, said the new offering is a major milestone for the influencer marketing group, and represents its ongoing commitment to delivering value to Australia’s influencer industry.

“Our focus has, and continues to be, on promoting best practice influencer marketing and governance, and risk management is a critical part of that. This offering will allow our members to protect their businesses today, while safeguarding them for the future,” he said.

“Influencer marketing is a fast-paced, evolving landscape, making insurance and risk protection more important than ever. This offering can provide significant savings on insurance to our members, removing the hefty cost barrier that often prevents them from obtaining policies and advice.”

Managing director at Maple, Adam Sulway, added: “Influencer marketing has evolved significantly over the past decade and with this growth, we have seen risk, compliance and governance issues evolve too.

“We are delighted to support AiMCO and its members navigate these issues and deliver insurance solutions that help their bottom-line.”

The insurance offering is the first major group deal to be announced by AiMCO since its inception in 2019. This year, the group has grown to more than 100 members.

“Today’s announcement celebrates the collective and collaborative approach that underpins AiMCO,” said Jason Tonelli, board chair of the Audited Media Association of Australia (AMAA).

“This offering will deliver premium savings to members, along with industry expertise. There is strong synergy between AiMCO and Maple – we are both independent, agile and focused on awareness and education. I’m certain this partnership will bring significant benefits to our member organisations.”
