‘All memories are hair related’, says star of Schwarzkopf campaign before falling off cliff
A new Schwarzkopf campaign features a woman reflecting on the highs and lows of her life before falling off a cliff face into the ocean.
As TV host Carissa Walford recalls life’s key milestones, including getting drunk, falling in love, funerals and relationship breakdowns, she realises “all my memories are hair related”.
Walford concludes “the universe has my back”, and then willingly falls backwards off the cliff and into the ocean below. Her key moments flash before her eyes, before she ultimately swims away.
Walford, who is also the face of Schwarzkopf, posted the spot on Instagram announcing that she would also be the face of the brand this year.
The ad was directed by Luke Farquhar and produced by Madeleine Hungerford Pike.
Walford served as executive producer for the commercial.
Nice headline.

Good point. For anyone who wants to watch, <https://vimeo.com/280514268” rel=”nofollow”>the full-length version can be watched here.
I don’t think the longer five-minute version differs much from the one-minute version (in terms of overall message and takeaways) – but do let me know if you disagree.
Thanks,

Love it!

What are you suggesting is the “overall massage”?
Or are you just click baiting?

Hi French pallet/ Lisa/ Mumbrella ella ella ella aye (who wins alias of the day),
Not sure how my comment responding to a comment could be classed as click bait, so I assume you are talking about our article / headline?
If so, click baiting was definitely not our intention. If anything, the headline over explains the ad, rather than misinforms/ misleads people about its contents.
My point in the above comment was that the five-minute version doesn’t have any big revelations/ moments which are missed if you simply view the shorter one-minute version. The article reflects the contents of the five-minute film, despite being originally written about the teaser.
Again, if you disagree, let me know (in which case, I look forward to seeing your next alias).

This is awful. Inhouse? Who did this? Come on, admit it.

The headline suggests the star of the advertisement actually committed suicide.

Yikes,
The headline makes no such suggestion.
