Allianz Partners gives PR account to Thrive

Thrive PR and communications has won the public relations account for Allianz Partners following a competitive pitch.

The agency will be responsible for media relations, stakeholder management, thought leadership profiling, media training, events, and issues and crisis management.

Mumbrella understands the incumbent agency was Adhesive PR.

The account will now be led from Thrive’s Brisbane office.

Damien Arthur, chief market manager for Allianz Partners, said the focus would be on driving awareness of two of the business’ key products: travel and international health.

“We’re delighted to have Thrive on board to offer strategic counsel to help us bring protection, assistance and insurance solutions to our customers. And this year, we’re focused on reinforcing our leadership – to a variety of stakeholders – in travel and health,” he said.

“Thrive’s strong Brisbane offering coupled with its national footprint, and extensive experience, made them the standout candidate for us to appoint. We were also impressed by the standard of Thrive’s operations and processes, with an exceptionally high level of communication, reporting and accountability demonstrated by the team.”

Frances Browne, group account director and Brisbane lead for Thrive, said the agency was a ‘corpsumer’ expert.

“Our appointment by Allianz Partners is testament to the strong ‘corpsumer’ offering we’re known for at Thrive. That is, the way we combine our corporate and consumer PR work,” she said. “Our growing team specialises in campaigns that successfully talk to B2B and B2C audiences, so it’s exciting to add another leading global brand like Allianz Partners into the Thrive Queensland fold. We’ll also be tapping into all of our agency’s expertise and contacts across all five of our offices.”

Thrive’s other clients include: ANZ, Optus, Cisco, Coles, Twitter, Porter Davis, Air New Zealand, Expedia and Bauer Media.
