Alt/shift, Poem, HWBK and others triumph at 2024 Mumbrella CommsCon Awards

The winners of the 2024 CommsCon Awards have been announced, with a broad sweep of Australia’s public relations and communications industry agencies and individuals being recognised.

Alt/shift took out the title of PR Agency of the Year – Large, while PR Agency of the Year – Midsize went to Poem and SPEAK Communications took home PR Agency of the Year – Boutique/Small. Cube was highly commended for the Midsize category.

Snack PR was awarded Best New-Comer of the Year.

And for helping spread the word on memorable campaigns, other agency winners include Ogilvy PR (for KFC’s Kentucky Fried Couture campaign), and Howatson+Company (for Maurice Blackburn’s Exhibit A-i campaign).

We Are Different took home Best Use of Owned Media and was highly commended for Launch or Relaunch Campaign of the Year, while Eleven and TBWA one, and was highly commended for another two.

History Will Be Kind won three categories – Best PR Employer, Best Social Media or Digitally-led Campaign for its #HireMeHilton work, and founder and CEO EJ Granleese won PR Leader of the Year.

The other individuals recognised this year were Domino’s Pizza Enterprises’ Izzy Gardener who won Best New PR Talent of the Year, AZK Media’s Azadeh Williams, who took home PR Professional of the Year.
