Amnesia Razorfish hires Ben Hourahine

Amnesia Razorfish has appointed Ben Hourahine to the role of strategy director.  

The announcment:

One of Australia’s leading digital agencies Amnesia Razorfish has appointed award-winning strategist Ben Hourahine as strategy director after an extensive industry search.

Born in the UK, Hourahine has worked on many of the world’s biggest brands including IBM, Microsoft, BBC, Diageo, Kellogg’s and Procter & Gamble.

Hourahine joins Amnesia Razorfish after a brief stint at Moon Communications and three years at Leo Burnett London where he led its strategic futures team. During his time at Burnett, Hourahine helped plan McDonald’s next decade in business, launched a video game for Lara Croft creators Eidos and built a pub of the future for c’s 250th Anniversary.

Hourahine will work across all clients at Amnesia Razorfish – including Microsoft and Aussie Home Loans – and will lead a strategic team with experts in campaign, digital, social, search, user experience and media planning.

The future of marketing isn’t about what we should communicate, it’s about what we should do – what we should do to drive a client’s’ business forward – and that’s what the strategy group will be focusing on,” Hourahine said.

businesses for our clients.”

Hourahine joins the Amnesia Razorfish management team – founder and executive

creative director Iain McDonald, managing director Michael Buckley, social media director and head of business development Jennie Bewes and operations manager Juan Deniz.

His appointment is effective immediately.
