Amstel takes to the streets of Perth for speed theatre

amstel-speed-theatre“Speed theatre” is the latest attempt at consumer engagement being introduced to Perth by beer brand Amstel .

The premium lager has hired a troupe of eight actors who perform short movie scenes before giving out beer vouchers to be redeemed in local bars.

Leo Burnett Sydney is behind the concept, with experiential agency Play Communications in charge of executing it. PR is being done by Res Publica.

Amstel marketing director Kylie Wallbridge said: “We focus on summer occasions and have developed activity aimed at interrupting and entertaining consumers as they experience the vibrancy of Perth.”

Previous WA marketing efforts by Amstel have included creating a pop-up shop in Subiaco, and a stunt with staged photoshoots in busy location featurign models opening Amstel bottles.
