Epochal Hotels and Example expand creative partnership

As hospitality group Epochal Hotels’ portfolio grows, it has expanded the remit of its creative comms partner Example.

The expansion means that the earned-led culture agency will spearhead earned media amplification, place concept design, strategy and branding for a range of upcoming projects for Epochal.

These include the recently-announced Hook Island eco-resort, the re-opening of The Commodore Hotel in Sydney’s McMahons Point, the next stage of plans for the Harbord Hotel — which is expected to “introduce a new hospitality experience and a recording studio for local artists” — and other projects related to Q Station and the Illawarra’s Scarborough Hotel.

CEO of Epochal Hotels, Glenn Piper, said Example’s creative expertise was essential “to every project”.

“Our focus has always been on creating places with soul – destinations that connect deeply with their surroundings and the people who visit them,” Piper said.

“The Example team has been an instrumental partner throughout our journey, bringing unmatched vision, passion and creativity to every project.”

Managing director of Example, Rebecca Jarvie-Gibbs, also spoke highly of Epochal Hotels and its CEO.

“Epochal Hotels is redefining Australian hospitality, creating destinations with authenticity and deep connection to place and community,” Jarvie-Gibbs said.

“Glenn’s integrity and vision are at the heart of everything we do together. It has been an honour to be part of the Epochal team’s extraordinary journey and we’re excited for what promises to be a landmark year ahead.”

Example’s work with Epochal is the latest addition to the agency’s hospitality portfolio.

Last month, it won the PR account of a major Sydney hospitality organisation named Etymon, following signing InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef as a client a few months earlier.

Most recently, Example collaborated with Black Star Pastry and QT Hotels and Resorts on a Valentine’s Day campaign.
