Andy DiLallo to join TBWA
Former M&C Saatchi chief creative officer Andy DiLallo will join TBWA Sydney later this year having announced his departure from M&C in November.
DiLallo was with M&C Saatchi for two years and was believed to be one of the highest paid creatives in Australia during this time. Prior to M&C he was at Leo Burnett Sydney.
It is not clear whether DiLallo will join TBWA as executive creative director or as the agency’s first chief creative officer.
As DiLallo prepares to join TBWA, the agency’s ECD Gary McCreadie is understood to be joining M&C Saatchi Group as part of a newly formed conflict agency later this year.
Michael Canning will continue in his role as ECD at M&C Saatchi across all brands.
The news comes one month after TBWA’s Wes Hawes joined Marcel as deputy creative director and one year after Scott Whybin, former chairman, regional creative director and founder of Whybin/TBWA departed TBWA Sydney.
DiLallo is currently on gardening leave and will commence his role around June this year.
TBWA Sydney’s current clients include David Jones, Foxtel and Fox Sports and Apple.
UPDATE 12:45pm: A spokesperson for M&C Saatchi has said Gary McCreadie will not be joining the M&C Saatchi Group but rather a separate entity outside of the group partly funded by M&C Saatchi.
A pedantic but important point to make…
Gary is not joining M&C Saatchi.
It might make for a better headline but it’s not factually correct.

Hi Correction,
You are right – we have posted an update clarifying the story as McCreadie is joining a company that is partly funded by M&C.
Cheers,

Thought he left M&C for more family time?
