Annick Perrin to depart as Initiative Sydney MD

PerrinInitiative Sydney managing director Annick Perrin is to depart the media agency with her next move at this stage unclear.

IPG Mediabrands executive chairman Henry Tajer today announced the pending departure of the well respected Perrin who joined Initative in September 2012 from Ikon Communications, and is one of the most senior female leaders in Australian media agencies.

“Some time back Annick privately discussed with us her ambitions to look for new career opportunities and those discussions have developed to the point now that we have agreed that Annick will be leaving Initiative at a date to be decided,” said Tajer, in a statement.

Perrin was one of the first of series of senior departures from Ikon in 2012-13 and was seen as one of the key architects of Ikon’s long held reputation as having Australia’s best media agency culture.

Tajer described Perrin as a very good media professional with a special interest in people development and that the Sydney team had benefitted greatly from her skills.

“Whatever Annick decides to do in the long term, no doubt her experience of many years in the media business will be a huge plus. We wish Annick the very best in whatever she chooses as her new direction and we will send her off in appropriate style when the time comes,” said Tajer.

IPG Mediabrands said there was no firm date for her departure and that Perrin will continue in her current role for the time being.
