Antoinette Lattouf and Jan Fran launch Ette Media
Journalists, media personalities and social commentators Antoinette Lattouf and Jan Fran have announced the impending launch of a new venture, Ette Media.
Ette Media will offer “media literacy and critique that helps you get to the real story”. Its tag line is “Read the news right”.

The venture launched this afternoon, with a website landing page and a social media post.
Lattouf has worked across various media outlets in Australia, including Network 10, Triple J, The Sydney Morning Herald and SBS, but is best known for taking the ABC to court after she was dismissed in 2023. She accused the national broadcaster of “repeatedly breaching its own employee Enterprise Agreement (EA) by sacking her without a proper basis and without due process”. The judgement in that case is cheduled to be handed down in the Federal Court on Wednesday.
In 2024, Lattouf launched a podcast, The Antoinettes, alongside American poet Azure Antoinette, and she currently co-hosts the daily Listnr podcast The Briefing.
Jan Fran, meanwhile, has worked on various programs across SBS and Network 10. In recent years, she has been co-host of the ABC’s Question Everything alongside Wil Anderson. Season four of Question Everything wrapped towards the end of last year.
Both Lattouf and Fran have been critical of the media’s positioning of various geo-political conflicts in recent months. They have separately spoken out about how segments of the media frame the actions of Israel, and the way headlines, language and spokespeople are chosen and given prominence.
