Kyle and Jackie O face contempt of court charges over mushroom comments

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson are facing contempt of court charges over on-air comments made about the Erin Patterson mushroom case.

The trial’s judge, Justice Christopher Beale, referred the duo to the Office of Public Prosecutions for contempt of court charges last week, after viewing a transcript of a KIIS FM show in which they addressed the high profile court case.

The pair are in esteemed company when it comes to alleged breaches of the sub judice restrictions on the case. The laws are intended to suppress any commentary around the triple-murder trial that could unfairly influence the outcome.
