Antonio Banderas talks to Australian animated creatures in Wrigleys campaign

Animated Wrigley’s characters first created in Australia for ad agency DDB have been picked up for a global campaign for the brand.

The new ad – created in the US by BBDO – features actor Antonio Banderas talking to an animated doughnut.

The Spanish actor banters with the Australian-created Extra Food Creatures.

The creatures first featured in a Wrighley’s ad created by DDB in 2007.

The TVC will run globally and has Banderas looking to get rid of “clingy” food after eating lunch.

The local campaign was brought together by DDB, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Starcom and MediaVest and will include PR, outdoor and online.
