ANZ tells women: ‘Say no to consecutive nights out and too much coffee’ in content series
ANZ has released a new video as part of its wealth content series on the ANZ Women platform, which reveals the bank’s top tips for financial success in 2017, including “don’t go out the night after the night out” and “say ‘no’ to the third cup of coffee in the morning”.
The ‘Set yourself up for 2017’ video, produced by Screentide, was released earlier this month on the ANZ Women website and features personal finance educator and columnist, Nicole Pederson-McKinnon, in conversation with Jacaranda Financial Planning’s principal and senior adviser Brett Stene.
The interview-style content piece opens with Pederson-McKinnon asking: “Brett, what are your top tips for people to set themselves up financially in 2017?”
Brett responds: “I would say, have the capacity to say ‘no’ to those types of things that actually undermine your ability to save.
“So say ‘no’ to the third cup of coffee maybe in the morning. Say ‘no’ to that bad behaviour that follows through after we’ve been on a night out – don’t go out the night after the night out.
“But of course, also see an adviser. Now, of course I’m going to say that because I’m an adviser, but see an adviser because they will actually motivate you, or indeed they can tell you off.”

The interview ends with Stene noting that seeing a financial planner takes away people’s “ability not to achieve”, with Pederson-McKinnon noting “Make them commit. Make them stick to it for 2017”, before Stene smiles and concludes “Absolutely. We lock them away, there you go”.
There is no call-to-action at the end of the video, which features just an ANZ logo.
An ANZ spokesperson told Mumbrella the video: “is part of Wealth’s ongoing programs to provide consumers with information and tools to help consumers manage their finances and grow their wealth”, noting other videos in the series feature information about managing mortgages, handling credit cards and living for a year without buying anything.
Where you offended by the fact they said that Vivienne Kelly?

Hi ITK,
No. I was not offended.
Thankfully I only indulge in one coffee per day – which is the perfect counter-balance to my #smashedavo obsession ( http://www.abc.net.au/news/201.....ts/7945014 )
Were you offended?

They clearly worked really hard on making this one as dull as possible and with 190 views to date it’s getting the response it deserves.

I’m assuming these click bait headings get a lot of hits…
Which explains why you wasted the time in writing an article that had a dig at trivial entry segue statements for a brand to advertise their services?
While you got your extra click through, how do you think ANZ feels that it was at their expense? Especially when it was clearly not at all intended as your article title implies.

So why write an article calling out what they said?
Another attempt at gender-bias clickbait?

Haha good one! Mumbrella is so annoying

Hi I have a different POV. I find this little piece of content smug & patronising. It’s revolting and the heading pretty much reflects the content literally and in tone.
ANZ with all your money why do shit this bad?
