AO and The Bachelors struggling for eyeballs as Nine takes Wednesday

The Chase Australia on Seven topped entertainment on Wednesday, but it was Nine that celebrated overall network and primary channel share wins.

The quiz show aired to 467,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s Home and Away with 430,000 metro audience.

Nine’s Australian Open night session on day three drew in 408,000 metro viewers, with matched include John Millman (Australia) against Daniil Medvedev and Rinky Hijikata (Australia) against Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece). The number was shy of Tuesday night session’s 462,000 metro viewers.

During Australian Open 2022, the first and second night’s games launched to 635,000 metro viewers, and the third night had 474,000 tuning in.

It is followed by the night session two of the Australian Open next in entertainment, which attracted a 350,000 metro audience. The Chase at 5pm on Seven aired to 276,000 metro viewers.

Wednesday’s The Bachelors on Ten drew in 274,000 metro audience, as well as winning the key advertising demo of 16-39s.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Wednesday with 867,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 833,000 metro viewers. Nine News pulled in 670,000 viewers, and Nine News at 6:30 brought in 657,000. Seven News also won the key advertising demo of 25-54s, while Seven News at 6:30 won the 18-49s.

As mentioned, Nine Network won the night with 31.8% overall network share, followed by Seven with 28.5%, Ten with 15.2% and ABC with 14.8%.

Nine also won the primary channel share with 21.2%, and the top-rating multi-channel on Monday was 7mate with a share of 4.1%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 11 January, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.296 million viewers, including 32,000 nationally on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

The program with the biggest uplift was Ten’s The Bachelors on Wednesday with an uplift of 55% and had a total of 600,000 viewers overall, and BVOD audience of 158,000 nationally.
