ARIA Charts: Twenty One Pilots land at the summit

The albums chart has seen two albums debut in the top five, including this week’s new number one, Twenty One Pilots’ seventh album, Clancy.

The other top entry was UK metal band Bring Me The Horizon, who took #4 with Post Human: Nex Gen – also their seventh album.

Last week’s #1, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard And Soft, has dropped to #2, knocking Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department down to #3. Swift’s new record may have slipped, but she still has five other album in the Top 20.

Hilltop Hoods have re-entered at #5 with their 2014 album Walking Under Stars, which is back in the charts courtesy of a 10th anniversary reissue.

LA-based rock band Wallows also debuted high at #14, with their third album, Model.

Over on the Singles chart, there isn’t a lot of movement. Tommy Richman’s Million Dollar Baby holds the top spot, last week’s #2 and #3 have switched places – A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey has hung about the top reaches of the chart for six weeks now, but is yet to nab a #1 – being blocked by Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tommy Richman.

The continued love for Billie Eilish’s new album has her holding #5 with Lunch, plus #6 for Birds Of A Feather, #10 for Chihiro, and #19 and #20, for Wildflower and L’Amour De Ma Vie – the album’s other five tracks are lower in the Top 50.

Highest debut was Zach Bryan’s Pink Skies, which entered at #15, just ahead of the week’s other big debut, Central Cee ft Lil Baby’s BAND4BAND.
