ARN partners with Ampol on new podcast series

Australian Radio Network (ARN) has announced it will partner with Ampol to produce a new podcast series called Brain Fuel, to be hosted by Amanda Keller.

The announcement:

ARN’s research-backed insights and collaboration with commercial partners continues to deliver industry-leading results for brands, through custom content across ARN’s Audiosphere to capture a meaningful share of audience attention.

ARN teamed up with Ampol to create a podcast series, called Brain Fuel. As part of Ampol’s brand re-launch, the podcast embedded the brand organically across the ARN Audiosphere to actively reach and engage a targeted audience, sharing a bigger brand story.

Hosted by Amanda Keller, the podcast series was a celebration of great Australian journeys that unravelled the little-known stories behind some of the country’s best locations. Each episode featured bite-sized stories from the road and beyond as told by truckies, foodies, comedians, historical figures, and many more. Perfect for lovers of large horizons, big open roads, and the quintessentially Aussie moments which happen on them.

As well as the podcast series, key parts of the content were integrated into Drive shows across the KIIS and Pure Gold networks. Amanda Keller was interviewed by the hosts of the 3PM Pick-Up to discuss topics within the Brain Fuel episodes to drive further awareness of the podcast.

To further amplify the content series, dedicated editorials were written and posted on KIIS and Pure Gold station websites, along with social media posts that highlighted key moments of the series to spark interest and drive audiences to listen.

The campaign tapped into the changing mood of Australian consumers and demonstrated how ARN is able to create tailored, dynamic audio solutions for brands. A large number of ARN’s audience were in lockdown and dreaming of travel but are now actively planning a getaway. Amanda serves as a friendly tour guide, exploring our own Aussie backyard with fascinating stories in a way no travel show has done before.

Stephanie Coombes, ARN’s Podcast Content & Partnerships Director said, “As all of Australia opens up in the coming months, more families will be hitting the road. I’m thrilled that Amanda Keller’s exemplary storytelling abilities will keep them entertained on the drive.”

Of the collaboration, Jenny O’Regan, Ampol Chief Brand Officer said, “Partnering with ARN for this campaign was a key part of our brand re-launch strategy. It helped us reach our core target audience, when they are most receptive through an interesting podcast platform that delivered organic awareness. The partnership enabled us to deliver our Ampol brand story in an interesting way, connecting our products and services to that quintessential Aussie experience – the road trip.”
