ARN to represent sales for New York Times podcasts in Australia

Australian Radio Network (ARN) has inked a deal with The New York Times to represent the US publisher’s stable of podcasts in Australia.

The podcast ad sales deal will give Australian brands access to local listeners of New York Times podcasts for the first time, with a portfolio including such popular titles as The Daily, Serial and This American Life.

The Daily, hosted by Michael Barbaro and powered by The New York Times’ newsroom, has become a defining audio offering known for featuring some of the world’s best journalists.

Other podcasts that make up the network include Day X, Modern Love Podcast, The Pivot, Sway, The Argument, Still Processing, Popcast and The Sunday Read.

ARN’s head of digital audio Corey Layton, said: “The New York Times is at the pinnacle of podcasts enjoyed world over and particularly here in Australia.

“From The Daily to Serial, This American Life and more, for the first time, Australian brands can now be part of these global sensations.

“We’re proud that The New York Times have entrusted us with representing their brand and look forward to pairing their podcasts with both Australian audiences and brands.”

ARN remained the #1 podcast publisher in the country for downloads as of the most recent Australian Podcast Ranker.
