AI, arrival of Amazon and Woolies’ loyalty drive to be addressed at Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit
How artificial intelligence can improve a company’s bottom line, what retailers can do to future-proof themselves against Amazon Go, and how to implement and drive customer loyalty programs are the latest session topics to be revealed at Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit.
Joining the forum, Woolworths’ director of loyalty and data, Ingrid Maes, will co-present with data analytics firm Quantium CEO Adam Driussi on the strategic loyalty programs they have rolled out, including the supermarket giant’s rewards program.
On the topic of artificial intelligence (AI), chief scientist from machine learning specialist firm Ambiata Dr Tiberio Caetano, will separate the truth from the hype and offer advice on how brands can get started with AI/machine learning to improve their bottom line.
A panel of retail experts will also discuss the impact Amazon Go’s launch will have on the Australian market, as the online retail behemoth continues its march to deliver shoppers data-driven, automated, real-time services. Speakers will include Accenture’s MD for products Glenn Heppell, CEO of retail marketing consultancy Retail Oasis, Stephen Kulmar, and technology entrepreneur George Freney. The panel will also provide advice on what retailers can do to combat Amazon’s threat and what other successful retailers have done around the world.
The summit will be opened by international keynote, Sainsbury’s head of customer experience design, Clare Muscutt, who’ll outline the importance of customer experience design in an omni-channel world.
The summit program also includes Myer’s chief transformation and strategy director, Gary Williams, Coles’ head of customer voice, Dale Preston, L’Oreal’s digital chief, Christophe Eymery; and marketing chiefs such as McDonald’s Jo Feeney, Unilever’s John Broome, Luxottica’s Jee Moon, Jeanswest’s Belinda Waller and Sportsgirl’s Anna Stevens.
The Mumbrella Retail Marketing Summit will be held in Sydney on February 15, 2017.
