Asahi pitches creative and PR account
Beer brand Asahi is seeking a new creative and public relations agency, Mumbrella understands.
The incumbent agency, Cummins & Partners Melbourne, was appointed to the account in 2012.
When Cummins & Partners was appointed to the account five years ago, it took on the brand’s media planning and buying as well as creative strategy duties.
Mumbrella understands the beer brand will not be pitching its media account.
Asahi’s brands include Schweppes, Nikka Whisky, Somersby, Woodstock, Kingfisher, Mountain Goat and Vodka Cruiser.
Asahi’s current agency roster includes Tiger Pistol, AMPR and Cummins & Partners as well as freelance PR professionals.
Mumbrella understands Asahi has been working with public relations agencies on a project-by-project basis.
Asahi declined to comment.
