Asleep on the job or a cheap radio publicity stunt?
Normally when a press release arrives in which a radio station owns up to a blunder that just happens to be newsworthy – the words publicty and stunt come to mind.
So it was with some suspicion that Dr Mumbo viewed the release from Austereo’s Mix 94.5 saying: “You could blame a big night of radio survey celebrations but even that doesn’t excuse falling asleep while on the job at Perth’s number one breakfast radio show. Yesterday, Fred Botica and Lisa Shaw’s cohort, Captain Paul, dozed off on air during peak hour (around 8.15am).”
But the video does look quite genuine, doesn’t it?
Guys it’s real. Pauly nodded off in the studio.

If it’s not a publicity stunt, why would you send out a press release of this?

I’m the Producer of The Bunch. I can assure you it was real… trust me, if it was a publicity stunt I’d have come up with something that would actually drum up some publicity!!!
