audi-projectionprincess-leahIn an inititative reminscent of R2D2 projecting an image of Princess Leah, Sydney’s Audi Centre has installed the “holographic virtual assistant”, pictured, to tell customers about the range.

Linda Narline, marketing manager for the Audi Centre, told Mumbrella: “I’ve been describing it as a cross between Star Trek and Star Wars.”

The technology, provided by out of home digital firm PDM, features an actress, dressed in Audi corporate colours, talking about the range. Narline said: “It’s something of a first for us as a brand. Obviously it’s a good fit because we want to be seen as innovative. the idea is that when customers walk in it sparks a conversation in the showroom. it will hopefully provide a talking point with our clients.”
