Australian Ethical appoints R/GA Australia for innovation and marketing work

Ethical investment manager Australian Ethical has appointed R/GA Australia as its official innovation and marketing agency.

The appointment is the latest client win for R/GA Australia, following the agency being named Uber’s global social agency of record and growth partner for Kimberly-Clark Australia’s Kleenex and Viva brands, both in late 2020.

Australian Ethical is also Australia’s fastest-growing superannuation fund, and R/GA will work with the company to accelerate its innovation strategy and redefine its marketing communication.

Australian Ethical Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, Marion Enander, said R/GA’s track record will help the investment manager continue to innovate.

“We have an amazing opportunity to continue our leadership in ethical investing, and to do that we need partners who can help us innovate.

“R/GA has a proven history of creating category-defining innovations, so bringing them in as part of our core team was an easy choice.”

R/GA Australia VP, executive strategy director, Jon Holloway, added; “We are thrilled to partner with Australian Ethical to grow their impact for members, society and the environment.

“It’s not often you get to work with a brand that realises the importance of combining innovative products & services with marketing – all while truly doing good for their customers, the industry and the world,” he added.

Australian Ethical recently announced $5 billion in funds under management and competition in the ethical investment space continues to intensify.

R/GA Australia’s roster of clients also includes Google, Nike, Slack and Toyota.
