Australian Radio Network announces new agency sales directors for Sydney and Brisbane

The Australian Radio Network (ARN) has appointed Michael Graham as its new agency sales director in Sydney and Rick Dalton as agency sales director in Brisbane.

The announcement:

Australian Radio Network (ARN) today announced the appointment of Michael Graham to the position of Agency Sales Director – Sydney and Rick Dalton to the position of Agency Sales Director – Brisbane.

Michael Graham comes from the Queensland ARN team where he held the Brisbane Agency Sales Director position, having previously worked in Sydney for APN News & Media, Southern Cross Austereo and News Limited.

Rick Dalton moves from the role of Queensland State Manager for LivingSocial, having previously worked in sales leadership positions with News Digital Media and CareerOne.com.au.

Speaking about both appointments, ARN’s National Sales Director Matt Granger says: “These are critical appointment for the Sydney and Brisbane Agency Sales teams and were made following an extensive search after significant interest from many strong and highly experienced candidates. Together we will be working in achieving the next level of growth for ARN”.

On his new role, Michael says: “ARN continues to be a very innovative and progressive place to be. I’m looking forward to returning to Sydney and leading a great team there”.

Rick added: “Radio’s ability to deliver powerful reach, great integrated content and the creation of new platform developments makes this an exciting opportunity. Coupled with working in the Brisbane market and the great people at ARN, I can’t wait to start”.

Michael will begin his new role on Monday May 6 and Rick on Monday May 13.

According to this year’s Nielsen survey results, ARN is on target for a strong 2013 with top of the chart performances in all states across Australia including holding the #1FM stations across three markets – Sydney’s WSFM101.7, Brisbane’s 97.3FM and Adelaide’s Mix102.3. This result marks the continuation of a great run for WSFM in particular; including the breakfast team Jonesy & Amanda’s Best On Air Team win at the 2012 ACRAs (also known as radio’s Gold Logie).

ARN’s dual brand strategy with a MIX and Classic Hits network in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane reaches out to over 4 million listeners, making ARN one of the leading broadcasters in the commercially important 25 – 54 demographic in Australia.
