Australian Rugby Union creates app dedicated to the Bledisloe Cup

The Australian Rugby Union has teamed up with Accenture to create a Bledisloe Cup app.

The announcement:

On-the-go, out with mates or simply relaxing at home – Rugby fans can now keep up-to-date with everything Bledisloe Cup before, during and after one of the most anticipated events on the Australian sporting calendar with the new ARU Bledisloe Cup app, powered by Accenture (NYSE: ACN).

As the Official Technology Consulting partner of the Qantas Wallabies, Accenture has drawn on its deeply embedded digital capabilities and established mobility experience to develop a product that delivers the latest news from on and off the field, live play-by-play text commentary for each of the three upcoming Tests, real-time scores, and videos that help supporters of all ages re-live some of the most famous moments from past Wallabies-All Blacks battles.

The Bledisloe Cup has a history stretching back more than 80 years, since it was first contested in the early 1930’s. Throughout the decades, the rivalry has grown. In 2014, this rivalry is stronger than ever before with Ewen McKenzie’s Qantas Wallabies side looking for its first Bledisloe Cup since 2002.

The ARU Bledisloe Cup app is available free from your favourite app store.
