B2B publisher Westwick-Farrow Media launches education technology media title FutureED

B2B publisher Westwick-Farrow Media has grown its offering to include education technology with the launch of digital and print channel FutureED.

Managing director and publisher Geoff Hird said the business was happy to buck the trend of closing titles during COVID-19.

Westwick+Farrow Media has 12 existing B2B brands

“Even before the challenges that COVID-19 has presented to the sector, we were looking at how technology was transforming the education sector in Australia, with a view to adding to our tech portfolio,” Hird said.

“The current situation we find ourselves in will change many industry sectors forever, and with education leading the way, this is an exciting time for us to launch a new media platform in this space.”

FutureED will initially launch as a digital brand, with a weekly EDM and a microsite running inside www.TechnologyDecisions.com.au. Two annual print magazines will publish to coincide with major industry events in the sector, kicking off with an October edition.

The audience will initially comprise of more than 8,300 professionals working in education technology or management across Australia. Primarily focused on the K–12 arena, the reach will include TAFE and further education, with plans to develop further into that space. Content will focus on topics such as artificial intelligence, gamification, online learning, cybersecurity, connectivity, apps and hardware.

“The current business environment is a challenge for all, but it also presents opportunities for those willing to invest in new ventures. We look forward to working with like-minded companies in the education tech sector to connect with innovative educators and develop new partnerships,” Hird said.

The new channel will sit alongside Westwick-Farrow Media’s 12 existing media brands, including GovTech Review, Hospital + Healthcare and Technology Decisions.
