Baby Bunting appoints Spinach to media account

Australia’s largest specialist baby retailer Baby Bunting has appointed Spinach to handle media strategy, buying and data capabilities.

The win adds to Spinach being appointed to, or expanding its remit on, Jalna Dairy Foods and Drummond Golf this year.

“We’re delighted to be working with Baby Bunting. The business is a clear market leader with a great range of products and excellent service,” said Spinach’s general manager and media director Ben Willee said.

“They have a very engaged audience whose needs are regularly changing which is a great opportunity to embrace data and technology.”

Baby Bunting listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in October 2015 and has a market capitalisation of more than $400m.

“Spinach’s ability to combine ideas, strategy, insights and data to maximise opportunities and deliver results is first class. We’re very much looking forward to working with Ben and the team,” added Baby Bunting’s general manager of marketing, Sue Dawson.

In December last year, Baby Bunting appointed JTW Melbourne – now Wunderman Thompson – to its creative account.
