Ten’s The Bachelorette improves on second outing but beaten by Nine’s RBT

Ten’s The Bachelorette has improved upon its second outing, pulling in 703,000 metro viewers at 7.30pm.

It was up on its debut audience of 655,000 with the show the most-watched program amongst viewers aged 16-39 and 18-49, while it was the second most-watched show amongst the 25-54 demographic.

However it was out-rated by Nine’s RBT which in the same time-slot grabbed 756,000 metro viewers and was the most-watched non-news program of the evening.

Both shows beat Seven’s Dogs Make You Laugh Out Loud, which kicked off at 8pm with a metro audience of 574,000.

Later in the evening, Ten’s Gogglebox, which aired at 8.40pm, was watched by 705,000 and was the most-watched show amongst 25-54 year old viewers.

Nine won the night with an audience share of 20.5% while Seven claimed second place with 16.9%, just ahead of Ten’s share of 16.1%. The ABC settled for a share of 10.1%.

On the ABC, 7.30 was watched by 551,000 and The Checkout at 8pm grabbed 500,000.

In the news battleground, Seven News at 6pm had an audience of 1.084m, slipping to 1.025m from 6.30pm while Nine News at 6pm pulled in 876,000, slipping to 844,000 from 6.30pm.
