Georgia Love proves less popular than Sam Frost as Bachelorette pulls in 655,000
Ten saw 655,000 metro viewers tune in at 7:30pm to see Bachelorette Georgia Love meet her 16 bachelors.
It was also down on the launch of this year’s The Bachelor which pulled in 882,000.
It was the most-watched show amongst viewers aged 16-39 and 18-49; however, The Block was the preferred choice for viewers aged 25-54.
The Bachelorette was out-rated Nine’s The Block which in the same time slot was watched by 903,000 while both shows beat Seven’s Border Security – Australia’s Frontline which had an audience of 640,000.
Nine’s local series Doctor, Doctor grabbed 821,000 metro viewers at 8:40pm however it was beaten by the ABC’s Gruen which pulled in 832,000 to be the most-watched non-news program of the evening.
Nine won the night with an audience share of 20.4%, ahead of Seven’s share of 18.3%. The ABC claimed third place with a share of 13.9% while Ten settled for a share of 12.6%.
In the news battleground, Seven News at 6:00pm was watched by 1.040m, slipping to 1.021m from 6:30pm while Nine News at 6:00pm had an audience of 941,000, growing to 952,000 from 6:30pm.
Nine’s A Current Affair at 7:00pm grabbed 902,000.
