Bauer Media Group announces Peter Holder as publisher of relaunched Elle

Bauer Media Group’s Peter Holder has been named publisher of the company’s joint venture titles with Hearst Magazines International, including the yet to be re-launched Elle magazine.

Elle was announced in November 2011 by Bauer, formerly ACP Magazines, but its launch was put on hiatus in February.

As well as overseeing the Elle re-launch, Holder will take control of the HMI publications Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar and Madison and Cosmo extensions; Bride and Pregnancy.

Holder was previously publisher on weekly titles Take 5, NW, OK!, TV Week, as well as Shop Til You Drop and male-centric lifestyle magazines Empire, Rolling Stone and Men’s Style.

Jayne Ferguson will take over Holder’s weekly portfolios, OK, NW, Take 5 and TV Week. Holder will remain publisher of Men’s Style. While it’s not a Hearst title, a connection remains through Esquire section that runs within the fashion magazine.

However, Holder will drop Empire and Rolling Stone. Jo Runciman, an associate publisher in the Bauer specialist devision will take control of Empire and Rolling Stone, reporting in to Brendan Hill.

The HMI publications previously fell under Robyn Foyster’s care. Foyster will remain publisher of Woman’s Day, Good Health and Grazia.

Foyster re-joined ACP from Seven in 2010 after leaving in 2009.
