Bauer Media launches marketing and sales service for SMEs
Publishing group Bauer Media has announced the launch of another income stream. The company will now offer small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) a marketing communication and lead generation service.
Bauer will offer the services via a portal which will enable tracking, control and performance analysis.
The company is targeting the European €50 billion digital advertising industry with the move, partnering with Poland-based SEO company Sunrise System.

Veit Dengler, a member of the Bauer executive board, said the company is continuing to transform itself from a publishing house into a multi-business portfolio company.
“Publishing will remain the backbone of the company, but we continue to look for compelling opportunities to complement our core business and boost growth,” said Dengler.
“This process first started in 2006 with the acquisitions of RMF, a Polish radio station, and has continued with the recent acquisition of leading online comparison portals across Europe. Building marketing and sales services for SMEs marks a new milestone in executing against this strategy.”
