BBC Worldwide appoints new TV director

BBC Worldwide has appointed Deirdre Brennan as the director of television for its Australian channels, replacing Brendan Dahill.

Brennan will be responsible for production, programming, acquisitions, on-air promotions and presentation for UKTV, UKTV NZ, BBC Knowledge and CBeebies.

The executive is currently Nickelodeon Australia’s director of programming, and previously held the kids programmer position at ABC TV.

Brennan will start on her new role on August 25.
