BCF provides questionable tax deduction advice in WFH end of financial year campaign

BCF is demonstrating how camping equipment can be repurposed for working from home in its end of financial year campaign.

The campaign film declares “If you’re still working at home, most of these outdoor office essentials are tax deductible – maybe”.

A disclaimer appears at the end of the film, saying “Probably not true”.

The campaign was created by The Monkeys, which won BCF’s creative account in May last year.

The Monkeys chief creative officer, Ant Keogh, said it was time for BCF to enter the office supplies game.

“In tumultuous economic times, BCF has pivoted in an innovative fashion to better meet the ever-changing requirements of Australia’s corporate sector,” Keogh said.

BCF general manager of marketing, Ben McConnell, added: “With foldable office chairs, pop-up boardroom tables and even business yachts on offer, BCF is letting Aussies get the office gear they need, and the camping gear they want, at the same time.

“With families at home more at the moment, there’s a real need for extra working space and equipment, things BCF can legitimately provide.”

The campaign will appear on TV and across digital channels.
