BCM appoints Christy Peacock to ECD role

Queensland-based creative agency BCM has further bolstered its team, appointing TBWA’s Christy Peacock as executive creative director.

Peacock arrives at the agency following the appointment of Chris Platt as director of media and engagement, and former Y&R CEO Phil McDonald, who joined as a partner.

Prior to his time at TBWA, Peacock was with independent agency Joy, producing work for Nike, SBS and Subaru.

He said his new agency, BCM, was on a clear trajectory.

“They understand the importance of data and how it can leverage great creative thinking for truly engaging outcomes,” he said. “They already have a great team around them and when you combine this with the fact that they are one of Australia’s largest independent creative companies that’s run by a couple of really nice chaps, joining the team was a no brainer.

“I’m looking forward to a long and successful future partnering with the guys at BCM.”

McDonald said the timing, chemistry and fit was right.

“Paul and I have known Christy for a while now, and have many mutual mates, so when we knew he was on his way back to Brisbane we thought it was only fitting that he joined us,” he said. “He is a world-class creative leader and we have no doubt he will drive our creative product to another level and add real value to our clients and their brands.”
