BCM hires UM’s Chris Platt as director of media and engagement
Brisbane-based creative agency BCM has hired Chris Platt as its director of media and engagement.
Platt joins the agency from his two year stint as Brisbane managing director of media agency UM.
Prior to his stint at UM, Platt was the campaign planning director at Y&R for a year and a half. He has also worked at agencies including Haystac, Carat and Dentsu Aegis.
Platt’s appointment comes four months after the former CEO of Y&R, Phil McDonald, joined BCM as a partner.
“We have always been a fully integrated agency that has a quality media planning and buying offering. However, Chris joining us signals a real commitment to offering something different to the traditional, siloed media and creative agencies.
“Our strength is delivering creativity that is truly connected to the moments of truth in a customer journey. Chris’s skill sets and experience will make that an even more powerful proposition.”
Platt said the opportunity to join BCM came at a perfect time.
“I see the need to challenge the way we do business, to find smarter and simpler ways of delivering results for clients through clean and clear alignment of creative and channel. BCM are perfectly placed to do just this.”
Onya mate. Smart move from BCM. They’ll benefit a lot from the diversity of experience and I reckon private life might just be a tad more enjoyable for you.
