Bench hires Esther Carlsen as commercial director

Digital agency Bench has hired Esther Carlsen as its commercial director.

The announcement:

{SYDNEY, NSW, February 18, 2019} Joining Bench in the newly created role of Commercial Director ANZ, effective 20 February 2019, Esther brings her impressive repertoire of programmatic ad platform experience and leadership, at an exciting time for Bench.

Esther previously led the commercial operations of Acxiom and LiveRamp after heading up the largest global programmatic media and technology platform, Xaxis. She will now be spearheading the vastly evolving commercial operation in the Australia/New Zealand region for Bench. Esther’s focus will be on Enterprise brands and Agency solutions, with the view of conquering the challenge of transparency and data unification within the industry.

“I am excited with the challenges that lie ahead of us. Bench has a completely unique DNA and a mission to unify the fragmented landscape,” Carlsen says.

“Advertisers want complete uncompromised transparency, a no-nonsense approach and the technology to get things done.”

Having worked in publishing, programmatic, ad tech and martech, Esther’s appointment is a step forward in enabling Bench to harness the opportunities that the current digital media and programmatic landscape provide.

Bench’s Chief Commercial Officer, Gil Snir, says Esther is a perfect fit for the company.

“Esther’s passion for ad tech has given her the depth of experience to know exactly what advertisers need when it comes to technology and teams,” Snir says.

“The goals for this year are simple: to ensure that the full process of digital media planning, buying, creative activation and analysis is easier for marketers. We have been on this mission for 7 years and it has never been a more exciting time to be in this space, where all the pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together!”
