Bench PR hires senior consultants Min Chow and Melissa Mack

Bench PR has hired former Weber Shandwick senior vice president, Min Chow, and Money Place head of communications, Melissa Mack, as senior consultants.

The hires follow the agency securing the public relations account for global software company Git Lab in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Min Chow and Melissa Mack have joined Bench PR as senior consultants

Previously, Chow worked at Lewis PR in Singapore as managing director and Text 100 in Kuala Lumpur.

Mack was formerly a financial journalist, working at The New Daily. She has also been a senior account director at Media & Capital Partners.

Git Lab is a software development platform. Bench PR has been tasked with supporting its expansion in the APAC region.

Jocelyn Hunter, managing director of Bench PR, said: “The demand for faster software development is universal but so many companies are struggling to manage the complexity and costs of using different software tools and processes, not to mention the silos between developer, security, and operations teams. Git Lab provides it all in one application, reducing time and cost.”

“Our appointment of two new senior consultants with strong technology PR and APAC experience, will not only ensure success for Git Lab, but will help us meet the continuing demand from global companies looking for proactive PR support across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.”

Natasha Woods, director corporate communications at Git Lab, praised the agency’s knowledge of the tech industry.

“We are pleased to work with an agency in Australia that has deep tech industry knowledge, and a highly experienced team, who can support our growth in the APAC region. We are looking forward to forging a long and strategic partnership with Jocelyn and her team,” Woods said.

In March, Bench PR added people and culture platform Culture Amp, and corporate training provider Skillsoft to its roster.
