Better Homes & Gardens help Seven win the night

Seven’s Better Homes & Gardens was the most-watched non-news program last night, pulling in 699,000 viewers across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth at 7pm.

Seven won the night with an audience share of 22% ahead of Nine’s share of 16.5%. The ABC claimed third place with an audience share of 12.4% as Ten managed a share of 11.8%.

Better Homes & Gardens easily out-rated Nine’s A Current Affair which was watched by 629,000 at 7pm while the second half of Ten’s The Project had 441,000 metro viewers after 372,000 had tuned in from 6.30pm.

Ten’s The Living Room, airing at 7.30pm, grabbed 526,000 while Nine’s broadcast of the NRL match between the Parramatta Eels and Manly Sea Eagles pulled in 379,000 across Sydney and Brisbane from 7.30pm.

Seven’s broadcast of the AFL match which saw Richmond take on Collingwood drew an audience of 449,000 across Melbourne and Adelaide.

In the news battleground, Seven News at 6pm was watched by 1.025m metro viewers, dipping to 903,000 from 6.30pm while Nine News at 6pm grabbed 884,000, sliding to 836,000 from 6.30pm.

In breakfast TV, Nine’s Today pulled in 314,000, out-rating Seven’s Sunrise which was watched by 302,000.
