Big Bash continues to do well for Ten as Seven wins night with Coastwatch Oz

KFC Big Bash leagueAs January heats up the cricket continues to do well in the ratings, with last night’s Big Bash match between the Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers delivering a metro audience of 772,000 during session two for Ten.

It followed on from 700,000 viewers tuning in for sessions one from 7pm while 376,000 capital city and regional viewers stuck around for the post-game coverage, according to OzTam overnight metro ratings.

Session one was the most watched show amongst people aged 16-39, with session two the second most-watched show. Session two was the second most watched show amongst the 18-49 demographic and the third most-watched show amongst the 25-54 demographic.

It wasn’t enough for the match to claim the most watched non-news show of the evening, with Seven’s Coastwatch Oz grabbing those honours with a metro audience of 779,000, winning the 8pm timeslot and helping Seven win the night with an audience share of 19.5 per cent.
