Brisbane Heat’s Chris Lynn made history in the match against the Perth Scorchers, hitting eleven sixes – equalling the Big Bash record for the most sixes hit in a single innings. The history-making innings helped the 7pm program topple the Third Test over on Nine – which has been dominating in the ratings – and become the most watched non-news program for the evening with an average metro audience of 838,000, according to OzTam overnight preliminary metro ratings.
Nine’s Third Test aired for the third consecutive night at 3.10pm, managing an average metro audience of 742,000. Melbourne saw the biggest audience number for the program with 281,000 tuning in.
Seven’s 6pm news gained traction from earlier in the week, managing 1.060m compared to Nine’s news which pulled in 974,000 viewers.
Nine won the evening for the fourth night in a row, seeing an average audience share of 19.4%, beating Ten’s 15.8% and Seven’s 15.2%.
