Billy Slater, Paul Gallen and Brad Fittler join Nine Radio’s lineup

From 17 February, three of the biggest names in rugby league will be joining the talent on Nine Radio’s Wide World of Sports radio show.

Former Queensland captain and Melbourne Storm champion Billy Slater, NSW’s most capped captain Paul Gallen, and Blues Origin coach Brad Fittler will all join the program, bringing their opinions and insights to 2GB and 4BC.

Nine’s Wide World of Sport is making its mark on radio

Slater will join host Mark Levy on Mondays, Gallen on Tuesdays and Fittler on Wednesdays, while the former long-time TV host of Wide World of Sports, Ken Sutcliffe, will be a special guest each Thursday night for Kenny’s Corner.

Meanwhile, The Continuous Call Team will be back in 2020 with a lineup including Levy, Darryl Brohman, Erin Molan, Mark Riddell, David Morrow, Jamie Soward, Anthony Griffin, Chris Warren, James Willis and Joel Caine. Ray Hadley will continue to call State of Origin games and the NRL Grand Final.

Nine Radio’s head of content, Greg Byrnes, said the new additions will further expand on the success of WWOS.

“Wide World of Sports radio has the biggest names and the best coverage of sport and rugby league in particular, with Slater, Gallen and Fittler adding a new layer of expert commentary,” said Byrnes.

“The show will give Sydney and Brisbane listeners everything they need to know about the game they love.

“The Continuous Call Team is set for another cracking season as they return for a record 34th year covering rugby league.”
