Blackbocks and Jamshop merge to create The Rowdy Group
Adelaide-based marketing agencies Blackbocks and Jamshop have merged to create The Rowdy Group.
The Rowdy Group will be lead by agency principal Brenton Bock while Johnny Velis will assume the role of creative director.
Velis was previously the associate creative director at Jamshop for nine years.
Cameron Hockey will be the managing director of the agency. Hockey was previously the managing director at BlackBocks for two years.
The Rowdy Group will be a full service agency offering its clients marketing, advertising, strategy, creative, production and digital.
“Opening our new doors in Adelaide’s CBD gives us a chance to better service our local clients, while providing a strong hub for continued growth. We can’t wait to shake up the category, finding innovative ways to solve business problems through the power of creative thinking,” Hockey said in a statement.
Velis added: “New Zealand consistently punches above its weight at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, despite being five times smaller it often brings more awards home than Australia. We believe there’s no reason why South Australia can’t be the creative epicentre of Australia and we’re planning to be the agency to lead the charge.”
The Rowdy Group has clients include: National Pharmacies WW, Tyrecycle, Kangaroo Island and the Motor Accident Commission.
