BMF’s Barnwell awarded APG Planning Idol

BMF’s Anna Barnwell has been awarded this year’s APG Planning Idol for her campaign strategy tackling youth homelessness in a brief for the charity, Oasis.  

AnnaBarnwellShe won out of  a shortlist of 11, with a highly commended award presented to Meredith Simpson of The Brand Agency.

Paul Moulds, Oasis director said: “Anna’s strategy of disconnection really got to the heart of how these young people feel which is an important step in helping them get back on their feet.

“It was a tough brief, one we are yet to crack, so it’s encouraging to hear new ideas and fresh thinking on a long standing problem.”

Barnwell has won a return trip including accommodation, to the AAAA Planning Conference in Miami in July 2010 and the opportunity to work with Oasis to implement her strategy.

The APG (Account Planning Group) is one of the three founding members of newly formed industry body, The Communications Council. It is also made up of the Advertising Federation of Australia (AFA) and the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD).
