BMW Group appoints Clemenger Melbourne to creative account

Clemenger Melbourne has won the creative account for German car manufacturer BMW Group.

In May, BMW moved its account away from Ogilvy Australia after 20 years with both parties deciding to part ways after the conclusion of the contract period.

Tony Sesto, general manager of marketing at BMW, confirmed the appointment.

“BMW Group Australia is on the threshold of launching a range of exciting new products in new segments, and so we sought an innovative creative agency to design and implement campaigns to support these initiatives.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Clemenger going forward, and we anticipate continuing our strong growth in the premium automotive market over the next several years.”

Meanwhile in October last year Vizeum retained the brand’s media account following a six month closed pitch.

BMW Group’s brands include BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce.

Clemenger Melbourne declined to comment.
