German car maker BMW has put its media planning and buying account up for review.
The news places pressure on incumbent Vizeum, which will defend the account in a closed door pitch against a number of undisclosed agencies.
BMW Group Australia GM of sales and marketing, Tom Noble said the process will be finalised by early 2013.
“We review our agency relationships periodically and this is standard operating procedure,” he said.
Aegis Media declined to comment on the news.
The account was last reviewed in 2007.
The process is being handled out of the UK by London consultancy Audit Star.
