Brendon Dangar appointed content director at Mix 101.1
Brendon Dangar has been appointed the new content director at the Australian Radio Network’s Mix 101.1 in Melbourne.
Dangar will commence at Mix 101.1 on January 23 and replaces Owen Ryan who moves to the UK’s Hallam FM and Magic AM as program director.
Dangar comes across from DMG’s Nova 106.9 where he was assistant program director and assistant music director for nearly nine years.
Duncan Campbell, Australian Radio Network’s national content director, said: “This is another key appointment for ARN and we’re looking forward to having someone of Brendon’s level of experience and passion join the team at Mix101.1 in Melbourne. He will bring to the station a fresh level of creativity and energy as we enter 2012 for what will be a challenging and competitive year.”
At 33, Dangar already has 20 years experience in radio. He began panelling Take 40 Australia on Sunday nights for 2NX in Newcastle before taking the on-air weekend shift while still in year 12.
Since then Dangar has worked at B105, and was part of the launch team for Nova 100 before joining the team at Nova 106.9.
So was he 13 years old when he started in radio?
And/or was he 13 years old in year 12?
Or has he only had 15 years in radio?

Another blow for Nova 106.9 only cushioned by the fact that Kip Wightman is returning for to the breakfast shift to partially return them to their former glory.
