Brian Keenan joins Weber Shandwick in strategy role

Public relations agency Weber Shandwick has appointed Brian Keenan to the position of vice president of strategic planning.

Keenan joins the agency from London where he was a strategy and creative planner at PR agency Ketchum for three years.

Keenan spent three years at Ketchum NY as a global creative insights manager before moving to the UK

Based in Sydney, Keenan will report into the managing director of Weber Shandwick, Ava Lawler, and guide the agency’s research, insight, strategy, measurement and analytics.

“Weber Shandwick is an organisation willing to invest in making its world-class ambition a reality. We ask our clients to trust us as their strategic business partner; I’m excited to further repay that trust with exciting advancements in integrated planning, data- backed insights and analytics to prove the value of our ideas,” Keenan said in a statement.

Lawler said the whole PR industry has an opportunity to “elevate the strategic planning and insights” used to guide campaigns.

“We’re continually fueling our talent pool with the diverse attributes required to reflect the current and future needs of our clients. We’re building a team of specialists who are constantly driving innovation and integration,” Lawler said in the same press release.
